Player prop bets, often called “props,” focus on individual players' actions rather than the overall game result. They're popular in various sports, especially in football. In the NFL, these bets zoom in on specific player achievements like a quarterback's touchdowns, a running back's total yards, or a receiver's catches.
You'll find two kinds of NFL player props. The first, statistical props, involve actual game numbers—think touchdowns or yards. The second, non-statistical props, include bets like whether a player will score the first touchdown.
Looking for a place to try these out? Head over to a major sportsbook. For instance, DraftKings Sportsbook offers a menu of bets for any NFL game. If you're interested in taking plays like these, check out the TD Scorers tab for various scoring options. If stats are more your thing, the Rush/Rec Props tab will guide you to bets on carries, receptions, or total yards. These prop bets add a thrilling layer to NFL game-watching, as fans and bettors focus on individual players' achievements.
We are back with two fantastic Conference Championship matchups on the second to last day of NFL action this year. We kick things off with the Chiefs heading to take on the Baltimore Ravens, followed by the upstart Lions squaring off against the San Francisco 49ers. Today, we are looking for a running back to continue his phenomenal scoring streak, another running back to excel behind the home crowd, a utility player to be limited in the running game, and finish things off with a same-game parlay that has been phenomenal this year. Though we are suggesting these as individual NFL Player Props, they do line up incredibly well if you are interested in playing them together as a parlay. Over the last five games, this parlay has hit 64% of the time, giving it implied odds of -178.
Isaiah Pacheco Anytime Touchdown Scorer (+125) (DK) | NFL Player Props
The second-year Rutgers running back has turned it on late for the Chiefs, even when it means fighting through a couple injuries. Pacheco has had a knack for finding the endzone whenever he is healthy and has been perfect so far in this postseason, an extension of a great streak dating back to the regular season. Over his last ten games, Pacheco has scored in six straight, importantly including the Chiefs two wins to begin the postseason push that leads them into the Conference Championship for the sixth consecutive season.
A key contributor in this stretch and for the entire year has been the reliance of Pacheco the Chiefs have shown when playing on the road. In such hostile environments, the pass-happy offense turns to their running back to smooth things out, as evidenced by his phenomenal record for scoring in away games this year. In the seven road games that Pacheco has been healthy for, he has scored in five of them, giving him a brilliant 71% hit rate in these games. While Baltimore has an incredible run defense, the Chiefs have a proven pedigree in these games and will be turning to him in their bid to return to the Super Bowl.
Gus Edwards o37.5 Rushing Yards (-160) (DK) | NFL Player Props
On the other side of the football, we look to the Ravens and their indomitable offense, in particular their dominant run game. Forming a formidable pairing with the MVP frontrunner Lamar Jackson, Gus Edwards has been a reliable weapon for the Ravens all year long, maintaining their dominance even while the passing game was up and down. Over the course of the season, Edwards has left his mark in nearly every game, hitting this line in a remarkable 72% of his games this season.
Baltimore in large part has been so exceptional on offense this year because of their ability to both throw and run the ball. When squared off against stout run defenses, they opt to throw the ball to their many weapons, while when facing off against elite pass defenses, such as the Chiefs, they impose their will through the ground game. Coming into this matchup, Edwards has a fantastic record against top-quartile defenses such as Kansas City, hitting this line in three out of his four games against these teams. In these games, Edwards has had a strong average of 51 yards per game, giving more confidence to his ability to get over this line again in this matchup.

Christian McCaffrey u18.5 Rushing Attempts (+100) (DK) | NFL Player Props
Though McCaffrey has been one of the most unstoppable weapons in the league this season, there are a number of reasons that show this is a smart line to take for this matchup. First, McCaffrey has been much more limited in terms of his rushes to end the season, particularly as he has struggled with nagging lower-body injuries. In his last ten games, the Stanford product has been under this line in 8 out of 10 games, giving him a strong 80% hit rate in this stretch.
Moreover, he is squaring off against one of, if not the best run defense in the league in the Lions. This year, Detroit has ranked first in rushing yards allowed to running backs, only allowing a measly 61.7 yards per game. With so much talent across the board, San Francisco will not force the issue and will likely look to spread the ball in the passing game, something that McCaffrey is also adept at.
Further, the Lions have an immense track record coming into this matchup. Over their last ten games, the Lions have not seen a single running back break over this line, facing off against a number of elite talents during this stretch. While CMC will still be one of the primary focuses for San Francisco on offense, it would be foolish for them to force the ball on the ground, particularly as their star weapon has been limited as of late. All of this considered, expect McCaffrey to stay under again here.
Detroit Lions @ San Francisco 49ers (+152) | Same Game Parlay
We are going to highlight a two-leg parlay for this game, starting off with Jared Goff throwing for at least 243.5 yards and then adding David Montgomery to record at least 40 rushing yards. Goff has been sensational down the stretch, playing some of the best football of his career as he has his new team on the verge of a Super Bowl appearance. Truly utilizing the many weapons across this team, Goff has mastered the art of spreading the ball around when he needs to and has benefited greatly from the incredible rushing attack in front of him. The weakness, if there is one of this 49ers defense, is in the passing game, making for the play of Goff to be highly important for the Lions to have any shot in this tough road game. To Goff’s benefit, is the highly versatile rushing attack of David Montgomery and Jahmyr Gibbs. With each player offering a unique skill set, Montgomery has stolen the show in the ground game this season, putting up incredibly consistent numbers as head coach Dan Campbell looks to get him established in nearly every game. These two lines play extremely well into each other, as the Lions will need to have a multi-dimensional attack to get past the uber-talented Niners, making this a parlay that will be essential to their game plan and have a great likelihood of hitting once again.
In review, we are taking:
This is currently being offered for +152 on DraftKings, but running it through our parlay optimizer, this parlay has hit in 2 of the last 3 games, giving it implied odds of -200.
If you prefer to look out over a longer period of time, this parlay has hit in 80% of the last 5 games, giving it implied odds of -400.
Looking at a longer time span, this bet has still hit in a fantastic 56% of games, giving it implied odds of -129.
