Player prop bets, often called “props,” focus on individual players' actions rather than the overall game result. They're popular in various sports, especially in football. In the NFL, these bets zoom in on specific player achievements like a quarterback's touchdowns, a running back's total yards, or a receiver's catches.
You'll find two kinds of NFL player props. The first, statistical props, involve actual game numbers—think touchdowns or yards. The second, non-statistical props, include bets like whether a player will score the first touchdown.
Looking for a place to try these out? Head over to a major sportsbook. For instance, DraftKings Sportsbook offers a menu of bets for any NFL game. If you're interested in this Thursday Night Football matchup of the Carolina Panthers and the Chicago Bears, check out the TD Scorers tab for various scoring options. If stats are more your thing, the Rush/Rec Props tab will guide you to bets on carries, receptions, or total yards. These prop bets add a thrilling layer to NFL game-watching, as fans and bettors focus on individual players' achievements.
We head into the penultimate week of the NFL regular season with a Thursday Night Football matchup between the New York Jets and the Cleveland Browns. This is a matchup between two teams that have been harrowed by injuries to quarterbacks, but still find themselves in opposite positions. The Browns are in the driver’s seat for a playoff berth, coming into this game at 10-5, but still are likely to find themselves playing on the road as the Ravens hold a two-game advantage in their division. On the other side of the ball, the Jets have had a season to forget after Aaron Rodgers went down with an achilles tear in the first game of the season, leaving to Jets to trudge to their current 6-9 record. We are expecting this to be a tough defensive matchup, but their is still plenty of upside in some of the talented offensive players on both sides of the ball. Today, we are looking for a talented tight end to continue his great streak, a savvy veteran receiver to show his best, a phenomenal young running back to support his team in the passing game, and a same-game parlay that has been great as of late. Though we are suggesting these as individual NFL Player Props, they do line up incredibly well if you are interested in playing them together as a parlay. Looking at the last three games, this parlay has hit 67% of the time, giving it implied odds of -200.
David Njoku o41.5 Receiving Yards (-165) (DK) | NFL Player Props
Njoku is a physical presence to be reckoned with at the tight end spot who has seen his role within this Browns team drastically expand over in the second half of the season. Despite many different players lining up at quarterback, the tight end has been a great and consistent performer. Over the past ten games, Njoku has hit this line in all but two games, giving him a fantastic 80% hit rate over this period.
However, over the past month as veteran quarterback Joe Flacco has stepped to the helm, Njoku has seen his numbers go to another level. With Flacco under center, Njoku has put in his best performances of the year, averaging 64 yards per game during that period. His last three weeks in particular have been dominant, with the tight end racking up games of 91 and 104 yards in the stretch. Though he will still have a tough matchup against the Jets lethal secondary, his incredible form with Flacco should be more than enough to push him past this line for a fourth week in a row.
Amari Cooper o58.5 Receiving Yards (-115) (DK) | NFL Player Prop
Cooper accomplished something that only the legendary Terrell Owens has managed last week, joining TO as the only players in NFL history to record games of over 200 yards with three different teams. In a breakout performance last week, Cooper set the Browns’ all-time record for receiving yards in a game, finishing with 265 yards in a game where he looked truly unstoppable. This is coming off a great run of form where the wideout has hit this line in three straight games, looking to make it four in a row against the Jets in this matchup.
Despite the immense ability of the secondary for the Jets, there should be little question as to whether or not the veteran receiver can hit his number in this game. Across the year, Cooper has demonstrated that he is a big game player, putting in some of his best performances against the best defenses. On the year when he matches up against above-average defenses Cooper has managed to hit this line in 5 out of 6 games, giving him a wonderful 83% hit rate for this line. Better yet, Cooper has hit this number in five straight games of this type, meaning that he comes into this line red-hot and ready to deliver yet again.

Breece Hall o24.5 Receiving Yards (-170) (DK) | NFL Player Props
Breece Hall has faced stacked boxes nearly all year, but the running back has still managed to put together a solid sophomore season, particularly as a threat to catch passes out of the backfield. Despite the continued rotation of quarterbacks throwing to him or handing the ball off, Hall has managed to be a consistent performer for the Jets and is coming off one of his best games of the season. Looking at his last few games, the running back has been in great shape, absolutely demolishing this line in two out of his last three games, with an average of almost 63 receiving yards per game in this stretch.
It has not just been this recent streak of solid play that makes Hall a great pick here, but his consistency as a pass-catcher all season. Over his last ten games, the running back has hit this line in all but three games, giving him a fantastic 70% hit rate during that period. Across the majority of those games, Hall has been well over this line, showing that when he gets going he is truly a threat. With how stout Cleveland’s defense is, the Jets will need to be creative to get anything going on offense and utilizing Hall as a pass catcher should be centerfold in that plan.
New York Jets @ Cleveland Browns (+136) | Same Game Parlay
We are going to be featuring one parlay which we believe has great upside potential for this game. This week we are looking at a two-leg parlay, featuring Joe Flacco throwing for at least 200 passing yards and Garrett Wilson recording at least 40 receiving yards. Since taking over the starting job for the Browns about a month ago, Flacco has hardly set a foot wrong, showing flashes off the sensational quarterback he once was for the Ravens. His numbers have been sensational and he has established some great connections with many of the talented threats in the Browns passing game, hitting this line in every single game as the starter so far. On the other side of the ball, Wilson is perhaps the best player on offense for the Jets and has still put together a great year despite the inconsistency he has had to contend with at the quarterback position. With a brilliant talent for getting open and making players miss, Wilson does not need many catches to hit this number and even against a solid of a defense as the Browns’, he should manage to get this done with ease. Both players have been great for their teams this year and should be more than capable of getting their numbers, regardless of how the game goes.
In review, we are taking:
This is currently being offered for +136 on DraftKings, but running it through our parlay optimizer, this parlay has hit in four out of the last five games, giving it implied odds of -400.
If you prefer to look at a longer stretch of games, this parlay has hit in 8 out of the last 10 games, giving it implied odds of -400.
Looking at the entire year, this bet has still hit in a fantastic 80% of games, giving it implied odds of -400.
