Player prop bets, often called “props,” focus on individual players' actions rather than the overall game result. They're popular in various sports, especially in football. In the NFL, these bets zoom in on specific player achievements like a quarterback's touchdowns, a running back's total yards, or a receiver's catches.
You'll find two kinds of NFL player props. The first, statistical props, involve actual game numbers—think touchdowns or yards. The second, non-statistical props, include bets like whether a player will score the first touchdown.
Looking for a place to try these out? Head over to a major sportsbook. For instance, DraftKings Sportsbook offers a menu of bets for any NFL game. If you're interested in this type of bet, check out the TD Scorers tab for various scoring options.
If stats are more your thing, the Rush/Rec Props tab will guide you to bets on carries, receptions, or total yards. These prop bets add a thrilling layer to NFL game-watching, as fans and bettors focus on individual players' achievements.
We are back with another great slate of games, starting off with the Bears traveling to the Browns, the Commanders at the Rams, the Bills hosting the Cowboys and the Giants at the Saints. In our lineup for the day, we are taking a quarterback to be stopped short on the ground, a receiver to be limited, a great running back to continue his strong streak, and finally a same-game parlay that has been great this season. Though we are suggesting these as individual NFL Player Props, they do line up well if you are interested in playing them together as a parlay. Over the past three games, this mega-parlay has hit 22% of the time, giving it implied odds of +350.
Justin Fields u58.5 Receiving Yards (-115) (DK) | NFL Player Prop
Fields has had an up and down year, missing a few games due to injury, but comes into this game on a run of several good games in a row. However, he also is running into one of the elite defenses in the entire league in this matchup in the Cleveland Browns. On top of that Fields finds himself with an incredibly high line, even by his standards. Over the last six games, Fields has been under this line four times, though it is worth noting he has hit this line in two out of his last three.
The Browns have stifled offenses left and right this year, both through the air and on the ground. Against quarterbacks they have proven especially effective: They are currently the number one ranked defense in terms of passing yards allowed and the number eight ranked defense in terms of rushing yards allowed, only allowing 13.9 yards per game. While Fields is truly a special talent running the ball, this matchup presents far too stiff of a defense for him to hit this line, meaning the under should prevail yet again.
Cooper Kupp u6.5 Receptions (-145) (DK) | NFL Player Prop
Kupp is another highly talented player who has been ravished by injuries this season, but has had solid performances since his return. Similarly, he finds himself with a line that is simply too high, sitting at a lofty 6.5 receptions. Over his last five games, Kupp has failed to hit this line in four out of five, giving this bet an 80% hit rate over the last five. While Washington does have a weaker secondary, Kupp’s performances as of late would suggest that he should still struggle to get as high as this number.
Looking further at Kupp’s performances this year, there is more evidence to suggest that the under should hit. On the year, Kupp is only averaging 4.6 receptions per game, almost a full 2.5 receptions below what he would need for the over on this bet. He has managed a couple of games where he has hit this line, but over the entire body of work, Kupp has been considerably lower. All of this considered, while Kupp may still have a productive day against the Commanders, do not expect him to go over this line.

Tony Pollard o53.5 Rushing Yards (-115) (DK) | NFL Player Prop
Pollard has been a phenomenal back for the Cowboys this season, an unheralded asset for a time that is trending toward the top of the NFC after defeating the Eagles last week. While Pollard has not put up incredibly high rushing numbers, he has been an incredibly consistent piece for this potent offense, allowing them to equally rely on their passing and rushing attack. He has been perfect against this line as of late, hitting this number in all five of his last five outings.
Looking out at the entire year, it is clear that Pollard has a great track record for this number, as he has hit it eight times already. Starting off the year perfectly, the Cowboys running back had a midseason slump prior to his current streak. Coming up against Buffalo should be a tough challenge for him, but after getting past the elite rush defense of the Eagles, it should be clear that Pollard is more than capable of hitting this line yet again this week.
New York Giants @ New Orleans Saints (-105) (DK) | Same Game Parlay
We are going to be featuring one parlay which we believe has great upside potential for this slate. This week we are going to look at the New York Giants heading to the New Orleans Saints. We are taking a two-leg parlay, starting with Darius Slayton recording at least two receptions, then adding Alvin Kamara to have at least 50 rushing yards. The Giants have been riding high off the play of backup quarterback Tommy Devito, currently on a three-game winning streak. An underrated piece for the Giants this year has been veteran wide receiver Darius Slayton, who has had modest, but incredibly consistent numbers so far this year. On the other side of the ball, the Saints came out victorious last week against the Panthers and still somehow find themselves in the hunt for the NFC South crown despite sitting at just 6-7. A huge component of the success of the Saints this year has been the play of Kamara, following his return from suspension. The running back has been excellent both on the ground and through the air, serving as the spark plug for the Saints on nearly every series. Both players in this parlay have been incredibly consistent this year and should be integral pieces in this game, giving this bet a great shot of hitting.
In review, we are taking:
This is currently being offered for -105 on DraftKings, but running it through our parlay optimizer, over the last three games, this parlay has hit 100% of the time.
If you prefer to look at a longer time horizon, this bet has also hit in eight of the last ten games for both players, giving it implied odds of -180.
Looking at the entire season, this bet has still hit in a great 68% of games, giving it implied odds of -210.
