Player prop bets, often called “props,” focus on individual players' actions rather than the overall game result. They're popular in various sports, especially in football. In the NFL, these bets zoom in on specific player achievements like a quarterback's touchdowns, a running back's total yards, or a receiver's catches.
You'll find two kinds of NFL player props. The first, statistical props, involve actual game numbers—think touchdowns or yards. The second, non-statistical props, include bets like whether a player will score the first touchdown.
Looking for a place to try these out? Head over to a major sportsbook. For instance, DraftKings Sportsbook offers a menu of bets for any NFL game. If you're interested in this weekend's Arizona Cardinals vs. Cleveland Browns game, check out the TD Scorers tab for various scoring options.
If stats are more your thing, the Rush/Rec Props tab will guide you to bets on carries, receptions, or total yards. These prop bets add a thrilling layer to NFL game-watching, as fans and bettors focus on individual players' achievements.
We have yet another great slate of games, starting with the Cardinals hosting the Falcons, the Commanders at the Seahawks, the Texans traveling to the Bengals, and finishing off with the Saints at the Vikings. In our lineup for the day, we are taking a quarterback to shine in his return from injury, a veteran receiver to continue his hot streak, another mainstay running back to continue his dominance through the air, and finally, a same-game parlay featuring two talented players to continue their great trends. Though we are suggesting these as individual NFL Player Props, they do line up incredibly well if you are interested in playing them together as a parlay. After removing Kyler Murray’s line as this is his season debut, DraftKings has this parlay with odds of +685, but over the past three games, this mega-parlay has hit in all three games.
Kyler Murray o23.5 Rushing Yards (-125) (DK) | NFL Player Prop
Murray makes his long-awaited return to the field after suffering a torn ACL in Week 14 last year, which should bode well for the offense of the Cardinals. The Oklahoma product has long been known for his talent rushing the ball, but due to the injury, the line is currently set very low for Murray in his return. Looking back at last season, Murray performed exceptionally well against this line, hitting in all but two games before picking up an injury.
His return lines up extremely well as he is playing against the Falcons who are currently ranked 26th in the league for rushing yards allowed to quarterbacks. Though there may be skepticism about how much Murray will rush in this game given that he is just returning from injury, this matchup presents him a great opportunity to ease back into his dual-threat role, particularly as Atlanta is one of the softer defenses in this metric. Quarterback runs have become an important aspect of the new Arizona offensive scheme and Murray himself made comments this week to the media stating that he is not expecting to take things slowly, meaning that this game should easily see him eclipse this line.
Terry McLaurin o59.5 Receiving Yards (-115) (DK) | NFL Player Prop
After a slower start to the year, McLaurin has been on fire lightly. Playing with a new quarterback in Sam Howell, McLaurin has steadily improved his connection with the young quarterback and the numbers are beginning to speak for themselves. Over his past five games, the Commander’s receiver has hit this line four times, all coming in the last month of action.
In this stretch of five games, McLaurin has been well over this line, averaging 71.2 yards per game. This has been highlighted by some standout games against the Giants and the Falcons where McLaurin recorded games of 90 and 81 yards respectively.
Better yet, the matchup against the Seahawks gives him a fantastic shot of keeping this streak going. On the year, the Seahawks are ranked 22nd in the league in yards allowed to receivers, currently allowing 165.9 yards per game. Given the form McLaurin has been in and the great matchup he has, this prop should be on track to hit yet again in this game.

Joe Mixon o21.5 Receiving Yards (-110) (DK) | NFL Player Prop
Mixon has been a consistent force for the Bengals for years now, but as of late, he has picked up his production as a pass catcher, something that should be relied upon even more this week as Tee Higgins is officially out and Ja’Marr Chase is listed as questionable. With both of the go-to receivers banged up, Mixon’s role in the offense should expand, particularly in the passing game. Over the past three games, Mixon has been over this line each game, recording a great average of 26 yards per game in this stretch.
Fortunately for Mixon, his matchup with the Texans is fantastic in this category as their defense has been stout against the run, but soft on running backs receiving the ball. Houston is currently ranked 26th in the league in terms of receiving yards allowed to running backs, allowing an average of 39 yards per game. With Mixon’s great run of form and the likelihood of featuring more heavily in the offense, this matchup gets even better for the Bengal’s star and this prop should have a great likelihood of hitting again.
New Orleans Saints @ Minnesota Vikings (+120) | Same Game Parlay
We are going to be featuring one parlay which we believe has great upside potential for this slate. This week we are going to look at the New Orleans Saints traveling to the Minnesota Vikings. We are taking a two-leg parlay, starting with Josh Dobbs rushing for at least 25 yards, then adding Alvin Kamara to record at least 25 receiving yards. After Kirk Cousins went down for the year with a torn Achilles, Minnesota called in a fantastic trade with the Cardinals for quarterback Josh Dobbs, who had been filling in for the injured Kyler Murray. Dobbs lit it up in his first game for his new team, inspiring them to a thrilling victory against the Falcons. His elevated play this year has been greatly boosted by his ability to run the ball, which he made full use of against Atlanta, running for 66 yards. On the other side of the ball, Alvin Kamara has returned from suspension superbly, particularly catching the ball out of the backfield. His steady hands have led the Saints anytime they find trouble in the passing game and his numbers have been fantastic, hitting this line in all but one game he has played this year. Both these legs are centered on essential aspects of both teams’ offenses and should have a fantastic shot at hitting regardless of which direction the game goes.
In review, we are taking:
This is currently being offered for +120 on DraftKings, but running it through our parlay optimizer, over the last three games, this parlay has hit 100% of the time.
If you prefer to look at a longer time horizon, this bet has also hit in 80% of the last five games, giving it implied odds of -400.
Looking at the entire year, this bet has still hit in a resounding 83% of games, giving it implied odds of -499.
